T plus 20 - Zhangye (Gangsu)
Every now and then, we come across something so special that it takes our breath away. Moments like these get rarer as we grow older, more exposed and perhaps watch more National Geographic on TV. Indeed, it is difficult to find scenes which we haven't come across before - either through our own travels, or the vast media resources at our disposal, or through word of mouth from friends and family.
The Danxia rocks in Zhangye was a massive moment of discovery for me. And although I baked under the sun for 12 hours straight, ending up with skin like a Peking Duck, it was worth it. Really, really worth it.
No words from me this time. Just enjoy the photos. I'll explain in another post.
